Jun-29-18 10:00 AM Sold Out: SummerCon 2018 This event is 21 and over

Summercon is America’s longest-running information security conference, and has shaped the format of virtually every hacker conference that has happened since it first took place back in 1987. If you’ve been to DEF CON, H.O.P.E., or any of a million other security events that include “-con” in its name, you’ve participated in the legacy of Summercon.

SummerCon started as a small, invite-only get-together thrown every summer by Phrack. It is the oldest of the annual computer security conferences. Though it is no longer invite-only, we strive to keep Summercon smaller and more personal. It travels around a bit, and has been hosted by cities such as New York; Pittsburgh; St. Louis; Atlanta; Washington, D.C.; Austin; and Amsterdam.

Jul-12-18 08:00 PM Mortified This event is 21 and over

Mortified is a comic excavation of teen angst artifacts (journals, letters, poems, lyrics, home movies, stories and more) as shared by their original authors before total strangers.

Witness adults sharing their most embarrassing childhood artifacts (journals, letters, poems, lyrics, plays, home movies, art) with others, in order to reveal stories about their lives. Hear grown men and women confront their past with tales of their first kiss, first puff, worst prom, fights with mom, life at bible camp, worst hand job, best mall job, and reasons they deserved to marry Jon Bon Jovi.

Hailed a "cultural phenomenon" by Newsweek and celebrated by This American Life, The Today Show, The Onion AV Club, Entertainment Weekly and beyond, Mortified celebrates the strange and extraordinary things we created as kids.
