1967 was a pivotal year of social and cultural change that saw the birth of the rock festival in the Monterey Pop Festival that made stars out of Joplin, Hendrix and Otis Redding as well as the birth (and death) of the “Hippie” and the anointing of the “Flower Child". That summer hundreds of thousands of young people traveled to cities like New York, Chicago and most significantly the Haight-Ashbury district of San Francisco to “turn on, tune in and drop out”, to meet the like minded at gatherings called Be-In’s, to find new ways of expression and to experience the music that was changing the world. Fashion changed, politics changed and rock music became an art form. The Summer of Love Concert will take you back to 1967,as well and '68 and ’69, to “Relive the Memories, Share the Spirit (with family and friends) and to Celebrate the Music of the Woodstock Generation – The Music that Changed the World”.
