Michela Marino Lerman

Michela Marino Lerman is a globally sought after tap dance artist, performer, choreographer, educator and all-around creative spirit.  The Huffington Post has called her a “hurricane of rhythm” and the NY Times has called her both a “prodigy” and has described her dancing as “flashes of brilliance”.  She is very proudly a student of Buster Brown, Gregory Hines, Leroy Myers and Marion Coles.

Lerman has performed, choreographed, produced, and directed many projects throughout her career but she is most proud of the shows she has led as a bandleader at many of New York’s great jazz establishments such as Jazz at Lincoln Center, Smalls, Ginny’s Supper Club, and many more. Michela is a very proud member of the exciting, innovative, and eclectic band Michael Mwenso and and the Shakes.  Recently Michela had her West End debut conceiving and choreographing "This Joint is Jumpin' ", a celebration of the music of Fats Waller. She has had the esteemed honor of touring, performing and/or collaborating with many musical masters such as Wynton Marsalis, Jon Batisite and Stay Human, Cecile McLorin Salvant, Roy Hargrove, Benny Golson, Barry Harris, Marcus Roberts and many more.

The Silver Arrows are a premium 3-14 man band that are specialists in high-energy music for festivals, events and private functions - at a sensible price. We pride ourselves on having a "cooler-than-average" song list that is never cheesey, and focuses squarely on filling your dance-floor. With the Silver Arrow Band you'll get the best musicians in the country, playing your favourite music.  The Silver Arrows play a wide variety of tunes, but our trademark specialty is up-tempo festival-style music - capable of everything from chart classics, funk grooves, soul, swing/jazz to current top 40 and dance hits. On one night we might be playing completely 1950s rock n' roll, and on the next night, only 80s hits. Or a mixture of eveything- you really have to see it live to understand!
