Oct-03-14 07:00 PM Misty Blues Trio Gina Coleman, lead singer and founder of the band Misty Blues began her blues career as a gospel and folk rock singer. After landing a role in the 1999 Williamstown Theatre Festival production of A Raisin In The Sun, she received overwhelmingly positive criticism for her voice and was thus inspired to sing classical blues. Coleman recruited her former bandmates guitarist Jason Webster and bassist Bill Patriquin of the band Cole-Connection, as well as musicians Jeff Dudziak, Benny Kohn, and Kali Baba McConnell to form Misty Blues. Together, the band pays homage to blues music of the 20's, 30's, and 40's while maintaining their roots in gospel and folk rock, creating a unique blues-fusion sound. Oct-08-14 07:00 PM Mary Alouette & the Djams By far the most intriguing show amidst the recent swell of gypsy-jazz ensembles, the operatically trained vocalist has molded that hot house sound into an entirely new form. Haunting melodies, genre bending, & irrepressible gypsy rhythms make Mary Alouette & the Djams a trend worth following. For table reservations please contact: reservations@terrablues.com
