Shagg is a diverse group of musical anti-heroes who play original
acoustic soul-rock, with hints of funk, folk, blues, and gospel. The
band adheres to an acoustic-only format that blends a myriad of sounds
and styles, with influences ranging from Parliament to Purcell.
Instruments include acoustic guitar, djembe (an African hand drum),
fretless bass, and saxophone. Shagg lives in Brooklyn plays regularly
in
the NYC bar and club scene.
