Lugo

Son of a Puerto Rican Pentecostal Pastor Edwin Anthony Lugo began Singing at the age of three. A graduate from the famed Performing Arts High School in NYC, the University of Texas at Austin and of the The World Famous Apollo Theater in NYC. Lugo won Coca, Cola 's amateur night several nights in a row to standing ovations and is undefeated! (Video upon request).

An accomplished actor he has appeared on Broadway in Paul Simon's "The Capeman" with Marc Anthony, Ednita Nezario and Ruben Blades, at Robert Redford's "Sundance Theater Lab" and in "The Children of Times Square" with Howard E. Rollins. Lugo has written for artists Yomotoro, Judy Torres, Odalis Garcia, Idalis De Leon and Traci Spencer.

Lugo 's musical collaborators include "Bassy" Bob Brockman of Big Bottom Music Productions co. "Bassy" is a GrammyĆ¢ Winning Producer for Kirk Frankfin's "Lean On Me". His nominations include; Babyface, Puff Daddy, Notorious Big, Toni Braxton, The Fugees, Brandy and TLC. Harold Martin Jr. of Ironbound Sound and Liquid Records, Christopher Williams, Justin Strauss of Just Light Productions (Madonna The Remixes) and Robert Fussari of White Chocolate Productions (Destiny's Child and Will Smith). Lugo appears with The Holland Tunnel Project on "The Holland Tunnel Project smooth blend of jazz" a Liquid Records and Erma States release and with the Funk/R&B/Hip Hop/Latin/Dancehall group. Lugo continues to cross pollinate genres and generate revenue worldwide.

Lugo's sound is called Latin Soul" built from smooth Hip Hop beats and Hard-core R&B melodies born from Latin Caribbean, African American Soul A, Pop influences. Many have compared Lugo to a young Latino Marvin Gaye. He becomes what has been missing from our uniformed pop culture for a long time... the great song.
